The X-Bolt builds on the proven successes of past Browning rifles, and adds numerous improvements that places it at the top of any side by side comparison. It is free-floated by bedding the front and rear of the action for stability and to help maintain barrel to stock spacing for consistent accuracy. A recessed muzzle crown helps protect the rifling from damage. The bolt unlock button works in conjunction with the top-tang safety to provide an added measure of safety during checking and unloading of the chamber. The X-Bolt features a three-lever Feather Trigger which provides a clean, crisp pull, an X-Lock scope mount, Inflex recoil pad, and a 60 degree fast cycling bolt lift. The Pro model boasts a full 360 degree second generation carbon fiber wrap stock, making it extremely lightweight and rigid. The stock is filled with a noise-dampening foam, textured gripping surfaces, and palm swell. The lightweight sporter barrel features a proprietary barrel lapping process to ensure consistent accuracy; it includes a spiral fluted bolt, enlarged bolt handle, and a threaded muzzle complete with a muzzle brake or thread protector cap. The Cerakote finish on the action and barrel enhances the durability and adds protection against the elements, complemented by a burnt bronze hue that matures the color of the stock for improved concealability.
