Description

The Browning BAR line covers a wide range of tastes and has a long-standing tradition for achieving bolt action-like accuracy in an autoloading rifle. The gas system combined with a 7-lug rotary bolt gives the shooter significant recoil reduction for comfort, while locking in bolt action-like accuracy. The action is surrounded by a recessed bolt face, which is encircled by the barrel and the receiver.
Three complete rings of steel surround the cartridge to ensure performance. A seven-lug bolt and precise breech-to-chamber relationship provide the BAR with exceptional accuracy and the strength to handle magnum loads. The strong and very rigid action bar/inertia block link-up enhances accuracy by reducing barrel vibration. The buffering system minimizes wear and stress on the rifle’s mechanism.
The BAR also features a crossbolt safety, single-stage trigger, hammer-forged steel barrel, detachable box magazine with a unique hinged floorplate, and comes equipped with a safety lock. This MK3 (Mark III) model showcases an engraved aluminum receiver, a blued barrel, and a beautiful oiled Turkish walnut stock for a classic appearance.
