The SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MIL-SPEC 1911 45ACP is a classic pistol that is built on a full-size frame and slide, designed for both functionality and style. The stainless steel construction ensures durability, featuring a polished finish on flat surfaces and a bead-blasted matte finish on rounded areas. With a 5″ match grade barrel made from stainless steel, this pistol offers precision and reliability.
The slide is designed with slanted serrations at the rear, enhancing grip when racking the slide. Other classic features include the original arched mainspring housing as seen on GI issue 1911-A1’s, a standard spur hammer, and grip safety. For safety, it includes a single-sided, non-extended thumb safety and a short military combat trigger, synonymous with the original 1911-A1 design.
Equipped with fixed combat 3-dot sights, the ejection port is also lowered and flared for smooth operation. The Defender model boasts elegant wooden grips, comes with one magazine, and is packaged in a cardboard box for safe delivery.
