Refund Policy

- General Policy
Due to legal and safety considerations associated with firearms, returns and refunds are generally limited to cases of significant manufacturer defects that were not apparent at the time of transfer or errors in order fulfillment by Black River Precision.
- Firearm Returns
Returns of firearms will only be considered for significant, non-cosmetic manufacturer defects that affect the functionality of the firearm and were not disclosed at the time of purchase. To request a return for a defective firearm, you must contact our customer support within 5 days of the firearm transfer date. You will be required to provide detailed information about the defect, including photographic or video evidence.
If a return is approved for a defective firearm, we will provide instructions for returning the firearm to us (in compliance with all applicable shipping regulations). Upon receipt and inspection of the firearm, we will, at our discretion, either:
- Arrange for repair of the defect.
- Provide a replacement of the same model (subject to availability).
- Issue a refund of the original purchase price (excluding shipping costs).
We do not accept returns of firearms for reasons such as buyer’s remorse, incompatibility with accessories, or minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect functionality. All firearm sales are final unless a significant manufacturer defect is identified and confirmed.
- Accessory Returns
Accessories may be returned for a refund or exchange within 5 days of receipt, provided they are unused, in their original packaging, and accompanied by the original proof of purchase. A restocking fee of 20% may apply to non-defective accessory returns. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs for non-defective accessory returns.
- Non-Returnable Items
The following items are non-returnable:
- Ammunition
- Custom-ordered items
- Used items (unless a significant manufacturer defect is identified and confirmed for firearms)
- Items sold “as-is” or “final sale”
- Refund Process
If a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original method of payment within 7 business days of our receipt and inspection of the returned item. Please note that it may take additional time for your financial institution to process the refund and for the funds to appear in your account.
- Shipping Costs for Returns
For returns of defective firearms or items due to an error on our part, Black River Precision will be responsible for the return shipping costs. For all other returns (e.g., non-defective accessories), the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.
Shipping Policy

- General Shipping Information
We typically ship orders via USPS, UPS, OR FedEx. Estimated shipping times vary depending on your location and the shipping method selected. Shipping fees will be calculated at checkout based on the weight and destination of your order. Please note that firearm shipments may take longer due to the required FFL verification process.
- Firearm Shipping – To FFL Dealers Only
IMPORTANT: Firearms will ONLY be shipped to a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder. We will NOT ship firearms directly to individuals.
The process for purchasing and receiving a firearm from blackriverprecision.com is as follows:
- Customer Selection of FFL Dealer: You are responsible for locating a licensed FFL dealer in your state who will accept the transfer of the firearm to you.
- Providing FFL Information: During the checkout process, you will be required to provide the name, address, phone number, and email address of your chosen FFL dealer. You may also be required to upload a copy of the dealer’s FFL.
- FFL Verification: We will verify the validity of the FFL license provided. We reserve the right to refuse shipment to any FFL dealer at our discretion.
- Shipping to FFL: Once the FFL is verified, your firearm will be securely packaged and shipped to the FFL dealer you provided.
- Transfer to Customer: Upon arrival of the firearm at the FFL dealer, you will be required to complete all necessary federal, state, and local paperwork and pass any required background checks before the FFL dealer can legally transfer the firearm to you. All transfer fees charged by the FFL dealer are your responsibility and are not included in the purchase price from blackriverprecision.com.
- State Shipping Restrictions
It is your responsibility to be aware of and comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding the ownership and transfer of firearms in your place of residence. We will NOT ship firearms to any state or locality where they are prohibited by law.
Please be aware that certain states and localities have specific restrictions on the types of firearms that can be shipped and transferred. By placing an order for a firearm, you represent and warrant that the firearm is legal to own and possess in your jurisdiction and that you can legally receive it from the designated FFL dealer.
While we strive to stay informed of current regulations, the laws governing firearms are subject to change. It is ultimately the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable laws before placing an order.
- Ammunition Shipping (If Applicable)
If we offer ammunition for sale, it will be shipped separately from firearms and may have its own shipping restrictions. Ammunition may not be shippable to certain states or localities, and adult signatures may be required upon delivery. Please refer to the specific product page for ammunition shipping details.
- Accessory Shipping
Accessories that do not require an FFL for transfer will be shipped directly to the shipping address you provide during checkout, subject to general shipping terms and conditions.
- Shipping Address Accuracy
You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. We are not responsible for delays or losses resulting from incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses.
- Tracking Information
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing tracking information.
